Keswick Bitter, Greene King IPA and Coniston Bluebird that surprisingly cost £3.90 a pint. Quietest pub we visited in Keswick but it was Thursday evening. ESCAMRA - 4 Apr 2018 20:12 |
Haven't been in for a while but went back the other day. What a difference! Will definitely return under this (apparently) new management. codflaps - 15 Apr 2012 17:31 |
A more traditional style pub, though with a large choice of Rock Music on the jukebox. The bar staff were fine and attentive. The Lancaster Blonde (one of 3 Real Ales, the other being a Old Peculiar and a Wychwood offering) was on exceellent form and we called back most nights for a pint or two. Food was also excellent. It feels like a local pub rather than a Tourist bar and prices were competative for the lakes. Worth a visit. dazzang1 - 3 Oct 2010 12:17 |
This pub has had a makeover since my last visit & gone back to its original name after being a dreadful Irish bar for a while. On the main street it is possibly Keswick's largest pub as it stretches back down some stairs. 4 real ales but fairly unimaginative choice. Never been a favourite pub of mine because they seem to have a never ending production line of miserable bar staff. happytyskie - 6 Feb 2010 20:16 |
Been to this pub a number of times in past 5or 6 years and a decline in standards to the point where we will not go back when next in Keswick. Sunday 17th Jan 2010 barman was too busy talking to his mates to serve my wife and then when did get served, she got such a dirty look for interupting his conversation from said friend. Beer was not the best and we drunk up and left never to return. thunderman - 18 Jan 2010 16:18 |
