Coopers Mill, Yeovil

Finally. A decent pub, in a plastic homage sort of way. Recently been decorated in the bold style of exactly how it was before it decorated. I seriously had to look hard to see what was done, new surrounds on the tv's was all I could notice. Made of cows I think. Very Jordan/TOWIE.
Enough bitching, the staff were attentive and efficient. Glassware was clean and I enjoyed my drink. The usual assortment lagers and ciders of these pubs were on sale and the food seemed ok. I didn't eat so can't really pass comment but as these sort of places usually use Brakes Bros/3663, quality and value are generally good.
All in all a pleasant visit.

Railway Hotel, Yeovil

Now shut. Was hoping for something better after town centre today. Another good pub run down.

The Westminster, Yeovil

Run by Rachael at the Black Horse's ex apparently, so thought it was worth a look while I was in town shopping.Disgusting. I popped in today at lunch to use the loo. The ladies was filthy, who knows what the mens was like. Half a watery coke in a dirty glass put me off. As for the clientele. All the other comments stand, and the cherry on the top was one of my 15 year old sons friends in their drinking.
It may be handy for a town centre pub, but there are far better around.

The Royal Standard, Yeovil

Not been in here for a long time. Sadly, it hasn't changed much. the decor is still as I remember it. Come on Wadworths, spend some money on the place. This could be a real gem of a pub as it stands alone.
Anyway, enough minus points. Plus points are, Mark & Michelle are the new hosts and they are very welcoming. The beer is good and we have the usual traditional Wadworth fayre.
Waddys should spend some money on this place, instead of concentrating on Devizes.
