This pub was formally known as the 'Chopper Bar', back in the day. It was, in those days, a rough old hole and I'm sorry to say it still is!! There is no real; ale on offer at all. However, the landlady 'Carole' is a real sweety. She trys to run the pub as best she can and in all honesty she's not doing a bad job. Yeah, it's still rough but it's not that bad really. wolvesfan - 7 Apr 2014 09:21 |
Run by Rachael at the Black Horse's ex apparently, so thought it was worth a look while I was in town shopping.Disgusting. I popped in today at lunch to use the loo. The ladies was filthy, who knows what the mens was like. Half a watery coke in a dirty glass put me off. As for the clientele. All the other comments stand, and the cherry on the top was one of my 15 year old sons friends in their drinking. It may be handy for a town centre pub, but there are far better around. thetravellingwilbury - 8 Nov 2012 20:52 |

Avoid like the plague - or risk catching it! Absolute hole filled with the dross of Yeovil and serving probably what has to be the worst beer in town. BobOs - 13 Aug 2008 12:07 |
Awful, just too horrible for words. The chavs that get in here provide an excellent demostration of the potential benefits of eugenics. chopin - 22 Mar 2008 10:36 |
