The William Web Ellis, Twickenham

Recession? Not at 2.10 for a Coors there isn't! I can't think of any other reason to drink in this place.

Weekdays you are likely to middle aged working men reclining in the pleather seats (which are comfy)and pregnant girls getting drunk and shouting at "Dave".

How hard is it to demolish the reputation of Union Jacques. VERY. I had a chat with the boss the other night and it seems to me that he's genuinly concerned about his boozers reputation, however saying this, there were loadsa hot girls in here, not exactly what i would call chavs, wearing tiny little school outfits. I was with my women so i had to behave myself....a bit. great for a late night drink, and what an original idea to have a sheesha lounge, nice to sit on a low sofa watching the people walk past. Bar staff are pretty and attentive and drinks are modestly priced, didnt see a dirty ash tray for miles, which is more i can say for most twickenham boozers, so that gets a 7/10 already. Would be nice to see this place with a refurb. OH YEEEAH, the boxing was on t.v and i was sooo happy

The Bear, Twickenham

I really like this place, for a couple of reasons, the most important one, the staff are great except from this one girl who had been drafted in from another pub, she was talking about how shes really good with customers to this bloke, blissfully flirting away when there was a fully packed out bar, seriously she needed a slap, apart from that service is pretty damn fast. I'm a big fan of the lounge area at the back, nice and descreet, and the crowd seem mainly young guys and girls. ah yes, second point, LOADS OF WOMEN!! FANTASTIC. The range of lagers is unrivalled in Twickenham, and its not full of chavlike scum. I think I can honestly say this is one of the best pubs in Twickenham. Keep up the good work big O, you make me so happy.

Filthy McNasty's II, Twickenham

there are some really kool bands at filthys, and not only are they kool but they'r pretty proffesional, for example (i dont mean to plug but) BattleKat, Cosmic Debry and Marner Brown always rock it. I had a really good laugh the other night. It made me moist, sticky and then very sweaty and that was before i stepped into the late redlion/sauna. HOWEVER, they need to check up on I.D more, there was a slight youth club feel to the place, there was also the token old pervert leaning on the sticky wet bar who was "there for the music", yeh f*ucking right mate.

The Lot, Richmond

just what u expect of any scream pub, crap staff (mostly) crap food, made with love eh Mr. Anon, theres definately something spunky about the burgers that is true. beer is good, it tastes better because its cheap if that makes any sense. but for some reason everytime i go here i just dont seem to fit in!!?? but then we have a game of pool and relax, afterall that is what a pubs about.

O'Neills, Richmond

Monday nights at 9ish theres a fantastic Traditional Irish music session, group size does vary but theres nothing better than a good lager viewing some of the finest folk musicians this country has to offer.

Table service is always good and so are pretty
staff....nah that was a lie but at least they got the table service thing down.

overall, fantastic location, good service but sh*tty microwaved grub. Still this pub is at the top end of chain pubs. A well earnt 7/10

B@1 (Be At One), Richmond

this is as personal as a cocktail bar gets, great staff, even though they'r all blokes, the aussie guy behind the bar found time to crack a couple of jokes and was still efficient and fast at getting our drinks done. slight turn off is the heat on a summers evening, i say heat, dripping from every poure in my body, still theres nothing like a good sweat topped of with a ice cold cocktail.

The Marble Hill, St Margarets

Nice beer garden, charmingly situated infront of the park, shame theres a big road in the way and everything is concrete. Went inside for a lager, thought I had gone blind from thirst, couldn't see my own feet, smelt like my grans gin soaked living room and was just as exciting. Something reminiscent of the Mary Celeste, nobody around, then out of no where an eerie pale figure slid behind the bar, A GHOST! nah, that really would have been too exciting. In actual fact it was an lady who funnily enough did bear a startling resemblance to my gran. thats what i call excitement, well worth a visit, if you look like your in pain when you walk and enjoy the odd game of bridge with a large sherry.

The Ship Inn, Wandsworth

Well, i gotta say this place is pretty good. I had a slightly overpriced sea bass and the same goes for the white wine but boy was it worth it. what incredible food, gotta say i was very impressed with the service and general atmosphere of this humble abode. Two slight turn offs though, one of which is the bar at the front looks a bit shabby and doesnt do the rest of the pub justice, needs a bit of a clean up, not a great first impression. and my second point of contention is; WHY ISNT THIS PLACE CLOSER TO MY HOUSE! far too nice to be a wandsworth boozer. keep up the good work
