A good modern bar, very studenty though (not good when they turn up thinking wearing flat caps is a good look!!) and being in the 'trendy' bit of town, its not the cheapest place to go. Good for pool and plenty of screens to see the game on, though you can never get near the big screen. Unless its an important one they tend to have the sound down, which isnt so good though, and the toilets are the most cramped, piss-soaked, smelly conveniences in any of the city centre bars except S1 and they really let the place down. Could do with a bit better selection of drinks too to be honest.

Thoroughly enjoyed both trips here. Good service. Will always go back if in the area! Bit pricey but you get what you pay for, and this is true in this case as it's a really nice place that I can't wait to go back to.

Food was good, but took ages to get served. Not much in choice in drinks, and atmosphere non-existent due to the eastern european bar staff who had probably never seen the show in their lives and clearly couldnt be arsed.

The Ship Inn, Sheffield
Recently re-opened following a refurb and possibly a change of ownership. Interior is nice and clean, staff friendly and attentive, reasonable range of beers on. Certainly no sign of this 'gruff landlord' mentioned in previous reviews. If they don't let things slip, should be a decent place to keep going back to.
