The Elephant Inn, North Finchley
Fullers beer, a roaring log fire, and comfy leather couches - this is definitely our favourite pub in the area.

Dignity (Taylors of Finchley), Finchley
Excellent selection of beers: examples on draught when we visited were Leffe, Hoegaarden, Belle Vue Kriek, Fruli, Bass, and Young's Bitter.

The Catcher in the Rye, Finchley
One of the nicest pubs in central Finchley. Leather sofas and candlelight along with an open fire generate a cosy atmosphere. Not surprisingly therefore, the clientele when we visited were mostly couples and small groups.
The beer selection is reasonable - all the usual suspects plus a couple of cask ales (John Smiths and Courage Best when we were there). The wine list looked satisfactory too. We didn't eat, though the food did look inviting, and there were some very tempting bar nibbles on display.
For sporting fans, football is shown on the plasma screen in the rear section of the pub.

J J Moons, Ruislip Manor
A standard Wetherspoons outlet. At weekends, it's packed with younger drinkers taking advantage of the cheap prices. However, it usually quietens down a bit later on in the evening.
For cask ale fans, there is always a good selection with 5 or 6 real beers to choose from.
