The Kings Head and Bell, Abingdon

Good range of drinks and is very nice inside. Large if uninspiring beer 'garden'. I've been to this pub quite a few times and I don't think I've been served a drink in a clean glass yet.

The Griffin, Whetstone

Popped in yesterday for a pint after a disappointing visit to the three horseshoes. A pleasant pub with the best beer garden for miles - it's huge! Couple of real ales, expensive but in good condition. Staff fiendly(ish) and a good atmosphere. Will be making this my regular over the rubbish three horseshoes.

The Three Horseshoes, Whetstone

Planner and Borrowed have got it right. I'm sad to say that this is my local. Recently had a make over and is now rubbish. Used be a traditional pub, now a soulless dive. Went in yesterday, waited 5 minutes for a pint during which several 'regulars' were served before me even though the barman obviously knew it was my turn, but tried his hardest to avoid making eye contact with me. Turned around and left. Went to the Griffin instead which is much better. Wont be coming back.
