Open again and doing well.Nancy is back and Michelle the govnor is fine,entertainment weekends.Being done up outside but needs it inside.Us unfriendly lot,whom have drunk here for 15+ years are still around so hopefully complete and utter tools like bbx1138 will stay away.Happy days!

No chip at all,drank in here for over 10 years and it's a shame to see a packed vibrant pub with excellent barstaff go to the dogs because the Landlords(who has gone bust funnily enough) sister would rather drink herself silly than run the pub properly. Nancy is gone now and Dave went at the begining of April!
Gloria is excellent and slowly bringing the punters back,just need the new owners to clean/refurb the place so we can get rid of the people who enjoy sitting in dumps ;)

Not a bad place,agree with most below lthough the food is a rip off. Bottom of the market Iceland fayre,if you don't believe watch Guisseppe coming into work ;)

Gone.Dead.Kaput.Finito.
Closed all this and last week. Rumour has it they've gone bust,not nice for anyone but only have themselves to blame,no interest in the place itself or their customers. Perhaps now someone sensible and customer orientated will take over and it can get back to how it was pre 2007.

Sort it out,more people(5-10) outside on the pavement on a Friday night than inside the pub.Miserable barman moaning about kids in the pub.Does not take a genius to work out that if the parents and kids left there would be no clientele.Never been a clean pub but getting worse every visit,shame,was a pretty decent boozer on a Friday night 5 to 10 years ago.Won't bother visiting again,plenty of better bars in the area.R.I.P the Hercules.

Nice pub,kid friendly staff,bit pricey for area.
Some customers seem a bit up themselves especially when families are present,they seem to forget they are in Holloway,go to the village if you want to spend 2 hours over a pint while reading the free papers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This pub has actually got a LOT better in the last month.The glasses are clean and the place on a whole looks a lot cleaner,same barman which is a bonus but new much better management so you dont get abused because the manager is drinking his stock!!!

Completley ruined this pub,not into the goth,metal scene but this pub was a welcome change to the usual Holloway dumps.Friendly and welcoming with good beer,now turned into another Arsenal Supporters pub.It's probably empty on non match days as most real match going supporters don't live anywhere close to the ground.Full of meatheaded benefit claiming types!
Job well done on ruining a decent boozer.

Metro Bar and Canteen, Holloway
Not a bad place,still get your skint students hugging a beer all night but also have a very large and loud gay crowd now who are good fun,they seem to congregate on match days as well.

Love this place and love the quizzes,nice to be home from smoggy London with its dodgy beer.
Sadly back there before xmas,might ask out a certin landlady from Old Street and bring her here to see a real pub.

Still a great place,no quiz last night but was on a pub crawl from Old Street to Highgate Village anyway.My poor head!!!!!!!!!

Two months has passed since I had to wipe my feet on the way out of this pub,smellier than I remember with the same downfalls multiplyed by 100.
Do not waste your cash in this place,go to the swimmer,enkel or big red!

Nice looking pub although they seem stoned/sedated!
The manageress is a gorgeous little scottish woman with eyes to die for and the food is pretty good.Sadly thats all this pub has,the beer is way overpriced and out of 3 different pints I tried all were off/stale and did not smell very nice.
Recommend a good line cleaning session to sort your beer out.

Complete and utter dump.Owners sister runs the bar and is drunk and rude more often than not.Friendly locals are all but gone as are the decent barstaff that were at this pub from ,99 to about '05.When going to the odeon opposite recommend the swimmer for drink or amazon cafe for food.

Great boozer.
Two really nice,scary looking Millwall blokes(one an aussie),a laid back aussie and a cute barmaid.
A proper pub with great beer and a great atmoshere and a blinding jukebox.

Good pub, has a nice atmosphere, good beer garden. The only down side is that its getting more expensive year on year...

If it wasn't for the place been cheap, you could sum it up in one word 'Rubbish'
The place is full of grave dodgers, chav moms on the pull (not a pretty sight) and under 18 goths.
