The Crown and Anchor, Faversham
still no Spitfire but recently lost a bit of its character...sadly the landlords dog is no longer with us,a sad loss. That said its still a place with a welcome and a chance of a meaniningfull debate on lifes issues.....and a good laugh.

On my last visit to faversham(5 jan 2007) the pub was closed, by the local law, due to anti social behavior and other offences.(as advised by the locals and landlord of the Crown and Anchor)

a young pub...not for a quite friday, saturday,or sunday night drink....on those nights entrance controled by bouncers...not a family dinning pub to full of its self....a style house ..."the place to be "

The Cat and Custard Pot, Paddlesworth
I must echo CjGs comments but must add the barman drew 2 pints before he was happy to serve me with the 3rd draw,a pint worth the wait. The menu was standard pub fare well presented.I will have to make a return visit with a second guest to get another outlook.
(I think the prop on the hurricane hanging by the fire place is to small for the aircraft).
