We do try to support local pubs.It's years since we were in here, it hasn't changed much. Staff still slow and miserable. Had to listen to the local village idiots incessant ramblings about his huge, huge Paterdale (whatever it is). A definite no no.

The Pack Saddle, Chazey Heath

Visited the Packsaddle last night, very very busy but they found a space for us for which we were very greatfull. Local ales were excellent and the food was better. Good prices and a good menu.
Will book next time to guarantee a table. Great pub.

Cheap beer is the only thing going for this place.
