Of all the pubs in Looe that my partner and I enjoy when we visit, this is the one we love the most. A real pub, with good beer, music and fantastic eclectic company! You can keep your plastic "fun" pubs, we'll stick with places like the brilliant Bullers. Can't wait to get back next year!

The Red Lion is now open again after a pretty major re-fit. Nice new wooden floors and seating, Sky Sports and new jukebox. Anyone who was familiar with the old Lion will be very surprised at how it now looks! I'm told some of the old regulars ain't keen, but you can't please everyone. I think it's been given the fresh start it deserves with new decor, and new owners. Welcome back!!

I agree with the comments of RBAILY. One of the most family un-friendly pubs in town. Given the location of this pub,i.e not town centre, the owners perhaps should consider altering their policy in certain areas of the place....

Recommended. Great beer, and always has been. Old fashioned but probably the cleanest pub in town, you can see your reflection in the tables. Traditional and very good.

Came here to watch a band a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good mix of people, late bar and a good boozer full stop.

Great pub, always music orientated despite changes in the name and Landlord over the years, and also serve a few good whiskies...

This pub is now closed following some "financial problems", allegedly...

This pub is currently closed, hopefully about to undergo refurbishment. For many years my local, sadly the place slipped down the pan quite badly over the last couple of years for various reasons, but now has a new owner, apparently. I'm looking forward to the place getting a fresh start and maybe becoming a great local again, and will update the site if/when this happens!

Pennyblacks, Birmingham
Decent enough pub considering where it actually is. Always has a nice choice of well kept ales, Tribute being my favourite, and also a few well chosen malt whiskies. The prices are probably about what one would expect given the rent the owners must pay for their premises! Could probably do with bigger WC's although they can't really be faulted for cleanliness. As a previos reviewer says, if you must drink in the Mailbox, then make it here...
