The Woodman, Wild Hill

This pub is basically a knockout. Friendly welcome, good range of guest beers (they had a few very good porters in recently), a good beer garden and pickled eggs if you get hungry. Real character and clearly loved by those who frequent it. It is out of the way but that means around 6 quid in a cab from Welham Green station so there's no excuse really. Would stand comparison with the best pubs nationwide.

The Town Inn, Hatfield

We sat in the beer 'garden' and watched a guy puking on the floor then carrying on drinking. No one batted an eyelid. Very very bad.

Red Lion, Hatfield

Good food, decent beer and very friendly service from staff. By far the best pub in Hatfield. Rating compared to others shown here is ludicrously low.
