The Pendarves Inn, Carnhell Green
12 of us turned up for lunch and all had a very good meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beer was good as well, I think it was Betty Stogs but cannot remember.

The Tarrington Arms, Tarrington
Had an excellent lunch here last week, food delicious
and well presented. Wye Valley Bitter only available but was ok.
Main downside was the lack of a welcoming fire in the hearth. A fire has always been
a plus in this barn of a pub and the cost of a few logs would go a long way
to make it more welcoming.

Had a couple of meals there recently. Beer well presented if a bit pricey. Food excellent apart from very poor quality chips.
Did not like the waste of gas heating the outside, very ungreen! For that reason I have not given as high a rating as I might have.

Drove by the other day and this pub is well and truly closed, I think it is up for residential development.

Warm welcoming atmosphere. Beer well kept if a bit cold. However, the food was not as good as this time last year.

Great lunch stop. Food yummy and plenty of it. Visited in october 2007 with a pre-booked party of 18, they catered for us with no problem. Dropped in on them a month later with a party of 12 - no problem again. Beer good, staff friendly, food delicious.

What a great place. Welcoming staff, good beer with plenty of choice. Delicious food with an excellent variety of vegetarian choices. Visited with a party of six just after Christmas. Nothing was too much trouble. A splendid country pub.

The Gweek Inn, Gweek
Ten of us had a very good lunch. They serve proper pies, not mush covered in a piece of puff pastry. Beer was good and well presented, but I can't remember what it was, maybe Tinners. Would go there again.
