The Blisland Inn, Blisland

I have never had a problem with this pub. I have been going there for many years(8-10) and always found Gary the "Landlord" friendly and welcome.I admit it could do with a lick of paint but, I only visit this pub for the beer, and if your not sure what you want,Gary will happy to help you make your choice.

Dick Whittington, Gloucester

As Lovejoy says it is a lovely pub but, since the change of management, the pub has gone into a decline. Ales are not as varied as they used to be, and 4 are now I believe after making enquires, are permenant. Bass, Flowers Original, Marstons Pedigree and Timothy Taylors Landlord , plus 2 from Butcombe.
The last time I was in there ( the day of this posting) 2 pumps were not in use.A lot of "regulars " are now going elsewhere for their beers.

Cafe Rene, Gloucester

Very interesting pub/restaurant which is accessed via an archway in Southgate Street. The staff are very friendly and always there to help you.
Real Ales and ciders are served straight out of the barrel which is kept on the bar.
The restaurant has a lunchtime and an evening menu which is freshly prepared every day with chef's specials, and during the summer on sundays there is also a barbecue and the obligatory sunday roast which is also on a seperate menu. Well worth a visit.

The New Inn, Gloucester

With only a few 'Real Ale ' houses left in Gloucester, this is probably one of the best and the oldest pub in the town. Always a good selection of ales ranging from 3.6abv - 5.5 abv from various local breweries. The food in the restaurant is good value for money, as is the bar snacks.

The Golden Lion, Port Isaac

Sitting on the balcony with a pint of HSD, looking out over the harbour on a warm summers evening, after a meal from their excellent menu, what more could you want.

What every 'Ale' drinker dreams of. A pub full of character. You could spend all your time looking at the vast collection of 'tea' mugs that hang from the rafters and the numerous pump clips and table mats that are stuck to the ceiling. A good selection of Basket meals as well as an 'A La Carte' menu with daily specials and also a childrens menu . This pub is well worth a visit if you are in North Cornwall.
