The George, Enfield

Shocking place. Service was slow and beer not great. I tried the EPA and the youngs but both tasted poor.

Crown and Horseshoes, Enfield

Good little pub this. They had abbot, GK IPA and speckled hen on. iPA was good and the welcome was warm. They have a big garden out the back that must be heaven in the summer months.

Moon Under Water, Enfield

Hadn't been here for a while but popped in on Friday night with some friends. It doesn't seem anywhere as bad as others have suggested. They had 3 guest ales available along with the usual jdw range. All were in good condition.

Would definitely go back.

Devonshire House, Crouch End

This is soon to reopen as a JDW.

The Brewery Tap, Peterborough

An excellent pub, do the council really want to knock it down?

A variety of Oakham beers sampled on my visit. Managed to have more thanexpected as i had travelled to see Peterborough vs Sheffield united only for the game to be postponed, never mind though the beer more than made up for that.

This is a big open pub that serves thai food. Guest beers are offered as an alternative to Oakham beers, i would suggest trying all of them they were that good. Service was quick friendly and very helpful.

The Rose and Crown, Walthamstow

A friendly pub with very good beer quality what more can you ask for?

The William IV, Leyton

The pub itself is impressive, split into 2 sections. the front section has a curved bar with 12 handpumps, the usual lager suspects and some real cider available. The handpump had 6 different Brodies beers available.

The beers available left me a little disappointed, all beers seemed to be flat and lacked a little conditioning. I may have just been unlucky especially when taking into account all the previous reviews and the reputation that Brodies seem to be building.

Hopefully the beers will be better when i return for the easter event.

The Drum, Walthamstow

Not your normal JDW infact i have never been in one like it. The Hepworth Old Ale was on good form and for 1.89 a pint i simply had to have another. Service was quick and friendly, the scottish barmaid was having plenty of banter with the locals. Was told the bishop farewell was also on top form. Well worth the visit.

The One Tun, Farringdon

This pub was a treasure to find. 4 beers available included Black Sheep and 6X both of which were excellent. Unfortunately we went in during a very bad karoke session but this didnt spoil our enjoyment.

The Three Kings, Clerkenwell

A wonderful little pub. My pint of Doombar was excellent and was reliably informed that the Landlord was also on top form. Music from the 60's was being played and the crowd inside and out all seemed friendly. Not your typical ale pub but one that is definately worth going to again.

The White Swan, Farringdon

As previously mentioned this pub is at the bottom of a horrid office block, but once inside that is all forgotten. The beer range isnt really inspiring with Spitfire, Pride and Bombardier available, but the service is very good. The pub is well decorated. There was a Darts match going on downstairs and a poker match at the back of the pub on my visit which slightly restricted teh sitting area but this was fine as we were all standing drinkers! Worth a visit if in teh area.

The Cartoonist, Holborn

Mixed feelings about this place. The Adnams was possibly being served before it was conditioned properly but the landlord seems to be making an effort and wants to make a few changes to the pub. The friendly barmaid was very chatty and seemed to enjoy working here. Will be worth a visit again soon.

The Old Bank of England, Fleet Street

I think that this is one of the better Fuller's pubs around. The Discovery here was in near perfect condition. The service was quick and very friendly, and the barmaids were worth the visits alone! Worth a visit if in the area.

The Tipperary, Fleet Street

I like this pub. Always friendly service and the beer is generally on good form. Unfortunately not on my recent visit as the Adnams was very warm. This wont put me off going back though.

The Punch Tavern, Fleet Street

This place was awful! Service wasnt great and neither was the beer. I had a pint of Hooky Bitter here which was very flat with a poor taste. Certainly not somewhere i would go again.

The Albion, Blackfriars

Had a pint of Doombar which was nothing special and a little flat. Service was very good and the place was well decorated but dont rush here as there are some much better places nearby.

The St Brides Tavern, Blackfriars

I like this pub. Had a choice of 3 beers all well kept. Pub is small but clean. Service was very quick and efficient.

The Hoop and Grapes, City Of London

Pub was busy when i entered but service was very quick although had to take my glass back as it was chipped. This was replaced without hesitation by the very friendly barmaid. My pint of Bishop Finger wasnt great though. Very expensive even for this area.

Ye Old Mitre, Holborn

A brilliant pub with an excellent choice of beers available. I decided on Saltaire Blonde which was on good form. Service was quick and polite. Easily the best pub in the area.

The Sekforde Arms, Clerkenwell

This is a welcoming backstreet pub. I had a pint of Young's London Gold which was excellent. Was busy but service was very quick. Well worth a visit.
