This pub may not look like much outside, but it an amazing 2 strorey space inside, great for parties! They seem to be trying to focus on good food, that's reasonably priced too. I'll definitely be going back for more. Wellyboots - 5 Sep 2011 16:45 |
Back in February it was not under new management ( just a rebranding exercise which failed ) - but it is now. Has been fully redecorated and it is certainly a vast improvement and the external hanging baskets considerably brighten the area up. Real Ale is back with Pride , Landlord and guests . Quality can be hit and miss but i think they are still finding their feet with getting the right mix and judging the turnover. Food is upmarket gastro . Staff and the new manageress are very friendly. Closed at weekends. A change for the better and now worth a look. MIKESTOKES - 12 Jun 2011 17:06 |
Under new management and worse than before! No real ales at all now, removing the only redeeming feature. keith253 - 3 Feb 2011 14:37 |
As previously mentioned this pub is at the bottom of a horrid office block, but once inside that is all forgotten. The beer range isnt really inspiring with Spitfire, Pride and Bombardier available, but the service is very good. The pub is well decorated. There was a Darts match going on downstairs and a poker match at the back of the pub on my visit which slightly restricted teh sitting area but this was fine as we were all standing drinkers! Worth a visit if in teh area. nutsaboutbeer - 22 Feb 2010 17:27 |
OK inside as the previous reviewer says, very close to another pub of the same name which may explain why it wasn't added - ? But as several local pubs are, it sits at the foot of an office block and weeps. rainlight - 24 Dec 2009 18:00 |
