Two years have passed and I thought I would give it another try. The girl walking round in the thundercloud finally came over to serve me, then half way through pouring a pint, walked off to reprimand staff members, she didn't come back. Needless to say, we left.

This pub is always freezing cold, lacks atmosphere and staff. I spend more time at the bar waiting than I do drinking, even though there is seldom more than a dozen people in here.

Ridiculous. The staff are so wrapped up in themselves its a wonder anyone gets served. I visited last week on a quiet rainy lunch time. We ordered drinks at the bar and a waitress unwillingly dragged herself across to floor to show us to a table. 10 mins later we were still waiting for our drinks and menus. We went and asked the staff who replied "yeah, wait and we come to the tables" 10 minutes later someone appeared. we queried the whereabouts of our drinks and asked for menus. 5 mins later drinks arrived, still no menus. We asked again......10 mins later dirty menus arrived. 35 mins wasted, there were only 6 other tables in the pub. We did not order food as we were worried we wouldn't get it before they shut. We left and will not be returning.

Bankes Arms Hotel and Country Inn, Studland
A delight as always. Food always appetizing, beers good. Very enjoyable.

Disappointing, this pub has gone down hill, dirty, very bland unappetizing food, shame really.

The Clay Pipe Inn, Holton Heath
Doing an excellent food offer at the moment so its even busier, but the standard of food and atmosphere as good as ever. Never had a bad meal, just expect a long wait.

Well, the crown have tweaked their look again, and improved it again. they consistently serve a good meal with good friendly service and now there's 3 real ales. shall be visiting more often.

The Barley Mow, Broomhill
Went for food, but was put off by two chefs sat outside smoking. Pub was clean, beer well kept, and whilst the pub has plenty of character, it lacked any atmosphere despite being half full.
