The White Hart Inn, Somerton

Visited for lunchtime food. Reasonably priced meals and specials board with enough variety to suit most tastes. Drinks served promptly, and order taken for food. Nice rear garden area, with stable bench tables. Food arrived promptly but we were there just after 12pm, it will obviously be slower at peak times. Food beautifully laid out on plate it looked attractive; served hot.
Total bill including drinks 19.50; I consider that good value for a well-presented meal.

Ostler Inn, Cullompton

This pub is actually in Uffculme, some 4 miles from Cullompton. Visitors need to view the pub website for opening hours, as mainly only evening opening even during the summer months and weekends all day.

The Globe Inn, Sampford Peverell

Offer excellent Carvery at weekends and some evenings! Usually good choice of vegetables but not many greens! But if you ask they will provide some!

The Waterloo Cross, Uffculme

Food generally of reasonable quality, although of economy variety.
Service can be very slow, if outside 'normal' hours. Seem able to look after beer well. But if you are in a hurry then seek elsewhere.

Jack in the Green, Rockbeare

Earlier reports entirely accurate, - superb food and beers - but expensive. If you want to impress go here!

The Globe Inn, Sampford Peverell

Top class real ales, and cracking carvery at weekends and evenings. Huge car park, loads of room to eat and drink, including outside area if you can avoid the smokers who ruin it usually.

The Gardeners Arms, Taunton

Offering Carvery meals at only 3.99 on weekday lunchtimes. They usually offer at least 2 choices of meat, and you select your own amounts of the vegetables on offer. Superb value!

The Merry Harriers, Westcott

Pleasant country pub offering several real ales and usual crop of nondescript lagers and Guinness of course!

Recently changed hands resulting in adequate changes to food offerings, although chef only just started on permanent basis in July 2008. Worth a look!

The Red Lion, Droitwich

Beers well looked after, real ale - Banks bitter, mild, and Pedigree - beautiful! All usual xxxx lagers - yuk, but we are all different! And Guinness.
Sporty pub - large LCD screen in bar for footy although something of a rugby pub too.
Real fire in lounge at right times of year which is less smoky than bar which is largely male populated.
