Called in for a supper before going to nearby theatre. Busier than expected at 6pm. Very pleasant staff. Doombar was good. Food was served quickly. Doombar and ale pie for me; salmon fishcakes for my wife. Piping hot and very tasty. Good value. We'll certainly call again when in Woking.

Called in mid-week for lunch. Party of four. Well received and offered a choice of tables. Meals were all excellent. Good sized portions, fresh vegetables. Much of the menu is Italian themed, but pub grub classics also available, Some interesting and well presented choices. The owners and staff are an Italian family - all very friendly and pleasant. T.E.A. was excellent.
Prices very reasonable. We will certainly visit again.

Dinner for four on a Friday just before Christmas. Lovely setting. Very welcoming. Staff working hard to serve full restaurant. Great food, good pint of Moon Dance, good service. Don't know how long since the refurb but wish we'd been back sooner. This could become a favourite haunt.

Went in with a large group for early evening meal prior to concert nearby. Staff quick and helpful - pointed out that we qualified for a meal deal giving us our wine for a fiver instead of 13 - we wouldn't have realised otherwise. Read all the menus and table cards carefully for good offers. Food was good value.
Furniture sticky.

Lovely setting, but not welcoming. We went in as a large group for an early evening meal. Only a handful of other (drinking) customers there. Food and beer was okay but when we left the landlord didn't even look round from his bar stool let alone get up and thank us for our custom, having put around 200 through the till.

We feel for the people running this lovely pub, as the road closure continues far longer than planned. Well worth following the diversion. We had a superb late lunch, cooked to order with special requests of variation from the menu. Delightful waitress.
Looking forward to returning
