The Harp, Covent Garden

it really is a fantastic pub! The Harp sells beer and sells it very very well. In all the years of going there it has only got better. Not a better pint in London!

The Eight Bells, Putney Bridge

I'd walk across the brigde to Putney. Badly looked after pub and nasty! It sells beer... thats the only good thing about this place.

The Builders Arms, Kensington

Stopped by for a weekday evening, has been a while since been in and glad to see it has changed for the better. Feels nice and is very busy. The list of beers is impressive, the food was rubbish and SO SLOW! The staff really didn't have a clue what was going on. Would go back to check out the beers.

The Globe, Covent Garden

The Globe has now opened up as a self styled champagne bar. I wouldn't bother!! It used to be an alright pub but now its neither. CRAP.

Henry's Cafe Bar, Covent Garden

Its better than All Bar One etc but the food is overpriced and well a bit crap to be honest! The bar is what you'd expect although the service was swift. Wouldn't go in for a nice pint but relaxing glass of wine on a hot day works.

The Churchill Arms, Kensington

Reliable and consistent. Full of quirky locals and has a feel of a loved pub. Very busy and slow service, the thai food is good but you have to get used to the way it all works in there. There are not many better pubs in the area.

The Enterprise, Holborn

I'm liking this pub more and more. Staff are friendly, food is OK although the beer is a bit hit and miss which really lets it down. Good hide away from the office.

The Newton Arms, Holborn

The Adnams here is as good as any pub in Southwold and I've yet to find a better one in London! Its not a fancy pub but well run and always the same friendly faces behind the bar. Food is just above findus crispy pancakes but is as cheap as the beer. The wine is well priced too albeit plonk. Good place to meet up.

Bar Polska, Holborn

It seems everytime I go here it's closed!

The Marble Arch, Manchester

Used to find this place hit and miss but is a great old pub. I love Marble beers and really commend their efforts. Beats Sam Smiths and most if not all city micro brewers!

The Harp, Covent Garden

It took a very long time to get my colleagues to come here but as soon as they walked in they've hardly left. Old school boozer with proper staff and good beers. Cider lovers rate the place too. Nice spot for a lunchtime pint!

The Princess Louise, Holborn

It's very hard to find a drinking spot in here now, I do prefer the open plan pub as before but it is great to see a brewery look after a pub, and this is a great pub!

Lowlander, Covent Garden

have since been back during the day and it's still a real let down!

The Lamb and Flag, Covent Garden

Real British boozer! and not keeping with the area either. Posh its not yet absolute treat! Small, danky, hard to get a seat & lots of ale.

Just had a sunday roast there and it was great - a real roast! Although the potatoes were a let down, drank Best & had to struggle to walk away. Full of tourists who all had lasagne/chips/cola...seriously missing the point.

I will definately go back!

The Dog and Duck, Soho

Small pub on the corner just like lots of small corner pubs in soho. Beer is ok and not too expensive. Traditional bar snacks as well. There is very little space though and it's best late at night. Next!

O'Neills, Holborn

The bar manager knows how to keep me going back. Yep it's an oneils but the beer is always good. And the staff are great, have had some great late nights in there.
Food has gone well down hill thou!

Lowlander, Covent Garden

Nothing special. Doesn't feel belgian. And food isn't worth going for. Nice selection of beers though!

The Builders Arms, Kensington

Nice looking pub with good beer. It is one of those places when busy can crumble.
First time I went the food was ok and only drank nice cold lager.
Since then I've found the upstairs which is a new secret for the types that like to hide away and chill out! Although you will be disapointed by the Pimms!
Most recently the food was crap!!! It proved my theorey that whats on the menu doesn't mean whats on your plate. Kitchen should try harder!
Will go again.

The Havelock Tavern, Kensington

I love this pub!!!
And I'm a simple northern so forget what people say about this place! Its a good pub with great food, good staff and unique atmosphere.
The "rah" thing just reflects the area, yet it's one of the best pubs in the area and the food is worth making the effort.
Downside is it's expensive and the menu is a little try-hard but they know how to run a kitchen!
I have left there before eating once because it was too crowded and not relaxed enough but that's not a bad thing of a pub.
