The Tap, Ossett

Nice pub with a good selection of alcoholic beverages. More intimate than the Silver King up the road because the tap doesn't serve food so you don't feel like you're annoying people whilst they're eating! Good place to meet your friends and stop all night without having to go anywhere near a single larger institute!

The Brewers Pride, Ossett

Love this pub. Love real ales. Love the pub quiz on Monday night! Can't wait for the restaurant to be up and running.

The Silver King, Ossett

Nice place for a decent pint. We've only eaten there once when it first opened and it was a little bit pricey. Since it has been under new management we haven't been for food but had a look on the menu and it seems better priced. However, don't go if you're fussy about food because it's quite fancy - not typical pub grub. Might want to go for a drink first before deciding whether to have food or not and have a cheeky look at the menu! I guess it depends on the kind of food you're in to.

The British Oak, Wakefield

The British Oak is probably not a pub that I would go just for a drink in, however it does amazing food. The portions are huge and well worth the money. Seriously, don't eat for a week before - 2 weeks if you're going for the pork shnitzel! The staff are really friendly. When it gets busy then it does take a little while to get served. Other than that it's a very nice pub and I would give it 10/10 on the basis of the food.
