The place looks grand in a plastic way. Very big, and cheap if you get their on certain days.

Cheap and friendly, but not a pub for the young to drink in as the main clientele are older. Also, the pub attracts a lot of "scruffs". Good jukebox though.

The Met, Sale

A bit on the dear side, (�2.45 for a pint of Kronenberg)but the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere was really good when I went there. There a TVs and background music, and you could fall alseep on the leather sofas. However, the place is meant to be full of scallywags.

The Royal Oak Hotel, Chorlton cum Hardy

I've not been, but considering they have bouncers on the door, that tells you it's full of idiots, plus I've heard many, many bad things about this pub.

The Marble Beer House, Chorlton cum Hardy

Small, intimate venue. Mainly for 30-something Regatta-coat wearing profs having a few beers. A good range of house beers, including Pictish ale. A bit too small though and not for the younger generation.
