This place is great. It's small, quiet and chilled. Good staff and individual customers. I'd recommend this place for a quiet drink.

Has changed a lot over the last 4 months. A bit guff now I have to say. Jason the barman is a laugh. A small, balding laugh. But the pub has lost its mojo. Better pubs around this area.

Williams Wine and Ale House, Hoxton
Been under new management for about 4 months. They've sorted the beer and the staff are very nice and welcoming. this is a great place to go for a Thursday night bevvy. Safe and friendly. Bit pricey for wine though!!!

I preferred this pub as Maison Hector's, before it was re-furbed as just Hector's. It's still OK. Beer is cold and it's a good place for people watching or to have a drink before you go for something to eat. Used to do live Jazz music on a Sunday but not sure if they do that anymore.

The fruit machine fleeced me! LOL. A fair to middling pub. Friendly staff and cool film decor. Could do with sprucing up a little.

A nice bar with good staff. Decent, although I have to be honest, a little over-priced drink. OK jukebox when it's turned up. Decent Southsider customers. Pleanty of characters. Overall a good pub.

The management has indeed changed, many times in the last six years or so.
It was a great pub around the year 2000/2001. Then the manager left and it was still good and then the next guy left and that's when it started to go downhill.
I think there has been another 2 or 3 managers at least since then.
It's a complete hovel now and I just can't go in the place.

The Gun, Shoreditch
The pub itself is ok. Some of the punters are annoying, especially the suits on 20K a year who act like millionaires. there is a sour faced eastern European girl who works there sometimes who looks like her face would crack if she smiled. There is a pool table and the beer is well kept.
