Went there for Sunday lunch today. Beer was pretty good service was average as the waitress bought over the food and then the sauces and then had to go off to find us cutlery while the food was getting cold but the food was poor very poor. The roast I had was the standard of a tv dinner with over cooked chewy beef, rehydrated mash and roast potatoes straight from a packet. I expected more of this place as it is firstly a resturant and a pub second we only had the one course and went to the Blacksmith's arms in Cudham for dessert and more beer. Shall not be returning.

The Fox and Anchor, Smithfield
Went there for lunch today. Had a pint of the Darkstar porter which was a well kept nice beer. I would have had another but the barrel went and there was something wrong with the next barrel so I went for the Fox and Anchor ale which was very plesant. Food was nice and it was not too busy, the service was pretty good apart from being asked to move as there was only 2 of us on a 4 seater, we did move but on the way out saw that it wasn't too busy and there were only 2 people sitting at the table we first sat a.

Royal Oak Inn, Staffhurst Wood
Went for the first time yesterday as we pick it out of the Good Beer Guide 2010 and thought we would pop down there for lunch. Only meant to stay for a couple and some food ended up being about 6 hours and lots of beer and cider. Great pint of Larkins and also had a pint of the Staffhurst beer brewed for the pub which came up a bit cloudy and didn't taste great. I then went onto the real cider there and had far too many!!! Great pub and the local/regulars seemed friendly and the bar staff were friendly without beeing over the top.

Fifty Five Bar and Lounge, Camden
Great little bar just off the main Camden drag. A massive cocktail list with friendly bar staff who seem to know their drinks. As it's a cocktail bar there is no real ale which knocked a point off for me but it regained the point by having a few Star Wars themed cocktails.

The Whyteleafe Tavern, Whyteleafe
Dirty and smelly and the ales are always cloudy. Staff are friendly enough and the food always tastes nice but not a good pub.

Visited this pub a few times in out visit to Weymouth and it's a large pretty decent pub. I drank Tangle foot, Hopping hare and badger all of which were nice and clear and tasted nice too. I like the free papers and there is also a basket on the bar with apples in and you can take one if you fancy it.

Went there last Sunday for the carvey and I must say it was probably one of the nicest roast I have ever eaten. The beef was nice and tender and the selection of veg was good the puddings looked nice but I was way too full from the roast to try them. The beer was pretty good too and you can't beat a nice pint with a roast.

I have just been for a holiday in Weymouth and this year was the first time I had visited The Boot and I wish I had visited it before. It's a gem, a great choice of ale and the staff know about the drinks and are very friendly which seems rare these days.

Visited Weymouth a few years ago and really like this puvb. I have just returned and I was disappointed. I ended up going 3 times twice to eat in my week down there each time I was disappointed. Every pint of ale was cloudy and the food was not great. The staffed seemed ok.
