My favourite pub in London, really hard to find, and to get to, but always worth it, for reasons given by previous reviewers.

The Zetland Arms, South Kensington
This should be a brilliant pub. it looks fantastic. It's very comfortable. The drinks are very good, London Pride lovely on my visit. But completely let down by staff who just do not want to be there. Rude, slow inefficient service, would be so easy to sort out. 6 I think.

Went with two mates, 40 per round for three drinks, extraordinary. Stayed for three rounds though, wasn't going to let them get away with it. Pleasent bar but ridiculously expensive.

if you want to eat in a pub, this is the best choice for miles around, definitely.

Now open, but probably not for very long. Has the atmosphere of a public toilet, and the same green paint. Whoever designed this needs a Chinese style re-education programme, quickly, in case they are set loose again. All remnants of character have been ripped out and this pub is now completely empty, almost always. Luckily the Builders Arms is just a short walk away. Terrible shame, used to be a great pub.

This pub is as close to a complete disaster as you can get. A terrible shame that a great local has been completely ruined.

I highly disagree with the last comment. The Duke is a lovely pub, not cheap of coutse, but it's posh Fulham. Staff always courteous but food a little ott for my liking. Youngs bitter always excellent and very nicely chilled here. 8 out of 10.

The Prince of Wales, Kensington
Really bright unkempt pub. Beer was flat and tasteless somehow when I visited but not off enough to send it back. Seems to engender a feeling of general miserableness, which is not good for a pub. Will be avoiding I've decided.
