Good choice of frequently updated ales. Keenly priced meal deals at lunchtime. Quiz night is good fun too. Observations regarding the local young chavs are broadly correct but remember that as this is Chiswell Green and theres sod all to do, at least if they are in here they are not causing trouble elsewhere !.
The young lad behind the bar in a constant day-dream needs to get his arse in gear though !.

one of my favourite Youngs. Bitter is always top-notch,nice cosy feel to the place and can usually be served fairly quickly. Bought one of their heavy china pint pots as a birthday gift for a fellow Youngs devotee. Only downer is that i never win the monthly prize draw !.

Very tasty London Pride, one of the best i've had for ages.
Perfectly situated for sloping away from work for a wee cheeky one while i'm filling out my time-sheet!

First visit on friday,took a group of Aussies from work to see a " real English pub ". Nice interior,quick efficient service and good choice of ales. Pint of Spitfire is 30p dearer than an Ordinary over the road at Prince William Henry but such is life !.Location is a bit of a secret which is good as it keeps the arseholes away !.
The Aussies were suitably impressed.

Sadly soulless place but the beer is ok. Strange lack of choice though, Ordinary or Bombardier.
Still its better than working and is only walking distance from the office !

Called in a few Saturdays ago & they ony had one bitter {Adnams} but on the plus side the food was fantastic !. I had a huge piece of tasty cod & very nice chips , while my girlfriend went for bangers & mash - remember the scene in 'Close Encounters' when Richard Dreyfus sculpts a mountain of mash potato on his plate ? - my girlfriend had that with several big tasy sausages & onion gravy - superb !.
Now just sort the bitter out !
