Waste of space of a pub. stewie95 - 6 Jun 2015 11:28 |
My first visit in nearly ten years, and I was seriously impressed. It's just off the beaten track so there were seats here even when other nearby Southwark pubs were crammed with Christmas party-goers. Some wonderful meals - with generous portions - all under a tenner and available till 9 PM. Quick, friendly and efficient bar service. Two hand pumps - Youngs Special and Winter Warmer - on (curiously, no Ordinary). Trev - 11 Dec 2014 10:04 |
Seriously overpriced even by Young's standards and the Ordinary was just that. cretemick - 11 Nov 2013 08:41 |
The food is execellente ( beef chilli and Lasagne) everything looked home made and certainly the cheapest and good value, very competitive for the area. The bar staff where very friendly an cutious,to great to chat in special a very exotic chick girl who love make the regular(s)really happy after work hours. In over 8 moths i have never had reason to complain. casanova - 25 Apr 2011 21:52 |
This place is ok, but its never going to win any awards. Its a good size pub with plenty of outside seating, but the bar isnt that long so I could imagine a bit of a wait on a sunny day. I think that I counted five Youngs Ordinary pumps, one Bombardier and three unused. Peroni, Kronenburg, Fosters, Carlsberg, Guinness and Dry Blackthorn Cider were also available. The food seemed like standard pub grub and it was reasonably priced. The staff were nice enough, my Bombardier was good and there is a dartboard, but Im still not sure that Id stick my head in if passing again. Strongers - 19 Jan 2009 15:08 |
