The Up'n'Under, Twickenham

there has been QUITE a bit of commentary surrounding the assertation that old Up'n'Under is chavtastic, and I felt compelled to weigh in. Now then, in my experience I've observered a relatively limited amount of chavistic activity in this establishment. HOWEVER, I will say that I have some burberry at the Up'n'Under. Most days, it depends in part upon which area of the room you are in. A chav here, a chav there, now, I wouldn't call that chavtastic at all. And when they are not in groups, they tend not to engage in nearly as much chaving activity. I hope that I have helped to set the record straight.

Pardon me. I'm new around here and I'm not completely familiar with some of the terms being used. Could someone please be so kind as to tell me what is meant by the phrase:

"battersby-dingle types"

is this related in someway to "chav's"
