The Old Customs House, Portsmouth
The only old building that has been retained in the new Gunwhary Quay developemnet. Serves very good beer as this is a Gales pub. Very nice seating area outside and this pub has several different rooms that make it quite interesting.

Decent pub with 3 real ales on tap (Abbotts ale, Greene King IPA and Summer Lightning), pool table and dart board. Pub in friendly enough but thats about all I can say about the place.

Nice locals pub with a modern larger public bar and a cosy quieter lounge bar. Only Real Ale on tap is Courage Best, the staff are very friendly and the beer is kept well

A real locals pub. On match days this pub is alive with passion (and packed) as this is where some on Pompeys hard core supporters meet before the match.

Another large open plan Wetherspoons pub. However this pubs has 12 Real Ale pumps (with around 6-8 different Ales on tap) and charges around �1.69 a pint! This pub is now open until Midnight Monday - Thursday and 1AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Serves very reasonably priced food as well. The only bad points are that this pub has no sole (one huge room) and the bar area can get quite busy during peak times.

The Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Portsmouth
Although this is just another very large open plan pub by one of the major pub chains, it has one of the best selections of real ale I have ever come across. On my last visit I counted 13 different cask ales!

Very nice Gales pub with very well kept beer and a large well maintained beer garden.

The Froddington Arms, Fratton
Very large pub with some nice nooks and crannies where you can escape to for a quiet pint. Has a pool table and dart board and also a medium sized beer garden. No real ale on tap.
