| character of this pub seems to have changed - it was always a good real ale pub (as a Gales) and though a locals pub was always welcoming. My most recent visit seems to bear out that these qualities have been somewhat lost (unless it was just that evening). Only ale avail was London Pride at �3.00 a pint and it was clean but flavourless - so not sure whats going on there and it wasnt very friendly any more. | Pub recently refurbished with main bar in the former public bar area with eating area. Old lounge bar now with pool table facilities. Wide screen TV facilities for Pompey matches. Good atmosphere with live music over the weekend. Now a Fuller's pub still selling HSB. peajcea - 9 Jan 2007 02:31 |
