Looks like this place has re-opened as some sort of cocktail bar.

Charlotte Street Blues, Fitzrovia
Has closed down which is a pity as it was a really good music venue.

I don't know if there has been a change of management/ownership of this bar but there hasn't been any beers on draught for the last 3 months at least and very little choice of bottled beers. Seems this place is being run as a wine/cocktail bar, the music is the only thing worth coming here for because its certainly not the beer.

It does'nt look as if this pub will be re-opening soon as there is a 'freehold for sale' sign on the place now.

The Spice of Life, Cambridge Circus
Good live music venue serving McMullens beers not to pricey either, 2.90 for a pint of AK will definitely be back again.

Looks like another good addition to London's blues scene even though there isn't a great deal of choice of beers.

Stayed here over the weekend of 6/7th March nice sized rooms and a very good breakfast. As for the bar good choice of beers friendly staff and very popular with the locals especially on Fri/Sat evenings.

According to the local free newspaper this place has had its licence suspended for 3 months (subject to appeal) for allowing under age drinking, out of hours drinking and failing to control rowdy behaviuor etc, it only remains to be seen what will happen to this pub.

This is an excellent pub (probably the best one in this town) with a good choice of real ale's at least six hand pumps incuding ruddles and purple moose. I know some might like the cafeteria part to this place but it does help take the pressure off the bar especially at lunctimes when the trains are ruuning and you can still get bar meals in the evenings.

DickiedeVere you are talking about the O'Neill's in Wardour Street this is a small place and only has live music on a Sunday from 7 to 9pm in fact it's not as good as it used to be hence I've reduced my rating for this pub.

Been in here a few times when I've visited Belfast always very busy never had any problems with the door staff and the bar staff seem friendly enough. I prefer Fibber Magee's though as they have live Irish music every night no real ales though.

The Priory Tavern and Refectory, Orpington
Went in here on Friday night nice selection of real ales which seem well kept and reasonably priced the place wasn't too crowded even though there was live music on lets hope this pub survives as its the sort of thing we need in Orpington.

Went in here whilst on a visit to the Kent & East Sussex Railway, excellent food and a nice pint of Spitfire and very friendly and helpful bar staff. Being next to the castle I should imagine this place gets very busy sometimes especially at weekends.

Looks like this pub is shut for good now as the freehold is up for sale

The Nell Gwynne, Covent Garden
It would be a great shame if this pub was to close and is there really any need for more office space in this part of London can't the floors above be kept as flats? sounds like yet another greedy landlord trying to make as much money as possible. I would suggest applying to English Heritage to see if they can help.

The Anchor and Hope, Orpington
When I passed this pub the other day there was a note in the window saying 'closed until further notice' and I can't say I'm suprised this was never a 'friendly' sort of pub anyway.

This is an excellent pub with a great choice of beer's yes it can get very crowded and some of band's are a bit iffy best to coms on a Sunday afternoon for the Irish musician's the staff are very friendly and efficient and I have never had any problem's with the door staff they always seem ok.
4 Jan 2007 18:44
I only visit this pub on a Sunday evening when they have live Irish music usually from 6pm but this has been a bit erratic these last few month's I would'nt bother any other night it's usually too packed. It's definitely not as good since Dave Lenihan and barmaid Leila have left although I find that the present staff are quite pleasent & friendly.
4 Jan 2007 18:36
Good atmosphere here when I visited mind you it was just before Xmas don't bother when the rugby is on you won't get in the door it's that packed not much choice for real ale drinker's only John Smiths.
4 Jan 2007 18:22
