The Barton Inn, Barton St David
I was thinking alehouses was on my wavelength about beer, but maybe I've just been lucky. Several visits have all provided good beer, and this pub is definitely part of my cycle crawl of that area.

The Greyhound Inn, Baltonsborough
I agree with alehouses, great as part of a cycle tour of that part of the levels. Head off to the Barton after a couple here.

I don't normally do solids on a pub crawl, but if I did, I'd eat in this one, washed down with their good ale. Beware, don't stay here all night, tempting though it may be, there are better pubs in town.

Always worth a visit, I'd but it first on the pub crawl of the town, but not the best.

The Who'd A Thought It, Glastonbury
I agree with LickeyEndBooze, still good as 2nd in crawl of town.

The Riflemans Arms, Glastonbury
A tavern for old farts (it says so in the front bar!) Actually great beer, sunny patio, snacks and good company. You will be welcome, but don't expect carpets or any that other nonsense.

The Wookey Hole Inn, Wookey Hole
Great pub with excellent range of beer, from ales to Belgium bottles. Fantastic in summer, can be cold in winter.
