We were staying in the area and wanted to go out for dinner on a Saturday night and a pint. We phoned a load of pubs in the area. They were all immensely expensive or full. Then we hit on this one.
It was extremely quit, with only a couple of locals in the bar. But the food was great and affordable, the beer was very good and the service could not be faulted.
I hope they can keep open. They really deserve to. But with this level of custom I can't see things lasting. Go and support them.!

This really cannot be said to be a pub any more. We went in on a walk looking for a pint and perhaps a sandwich. They had no draught beer at all. (normally there is one but it was off). They charged us £3.40 for a pint of lime and soda (possibly a world record outside of London) and £3 for a small bottle of lager. We didn't have enough money left for anything to eat! I know its difficult to run a pub in isolated areas but even the most gastro of pubs should have a decent selection of draught beers at reasonable prices. This is a restaurant and should rename itself as such.
