Not all that, pretty bland & generic place. Not awful just not interesting. Also, seen my fare share of trouble in there.

Been here a few times, always liked it there, good pint, friendly staff & generally a nice place.

Used to be my local, although I avoided going there for a while (can't really put my finger on why), when I did start going there I thought it was a lovely place, decent range of beers, decent food, nice atmosphere & friendly bar staff. Would recommend it.

The Rose and Crown, Wimbledon Village
Apart from overpriced food, I always liked this pub...went there reguarly for a couple of years, friendly atmosphere, good beers & all round nice vibe to this place.

Been here several times ove the years, easily the best pub in the area, good booze, nice atmosphere & pub quiz on a Tuesday (although I don;t rate it that highly!) lovely pub, recommended.

The George (Harvester), Morden
Went to this pub over the christmas period with family. Was nice enough. Was the middle of the day though so I can't comment too much on the regulars, as a few previous reviews on here have. Beer was decent, friendly bar staff, nothing special but alright.

Horrible, just horrible. Walked in with a mate on a Friday afternoon/evening, it was like a Western, everything stopped & the 15 thugs all stopped their conversations & watched us get a pint. Was made to feel truly uncomfortable before leaving to go to the Lord Nelson down the road. Avoid this place like the plague.

Like this place, comfortable, not too loud not too quiet, had billards & old style table football & pinball machines. Decent beer selections.
Had a nice atmosphere, would go back.

Had decent grub in this place, beer was ok...not too bad at all, not amazing but not too bad.

Good for football & probably rugby (although it's be nice if they shut the bloody door so you could see the screen during the day) & it's wonderful & cheap pizzas!
Oh, it's one of Sky's 3D pubs...but not a great choice of beers & gets rammed when the big matches are on, can be a nightmare to get served.

Love it here, one of my favourite places to go, don't go if you want a quiet chat!!
Great selection of beers, great music, it's a very different little place & I'd highly recommend it!

I agree with the previous couple of reviewers;
Big old place with a good selection of beers.Good pub & miles better than the Slug next door. Also, as previously stated, an excellent place to meet for the first pint or so.

The Mash Tun, Victoria Station
Been here every now & then over the course of about 5 years or so. It's a bit small...but probably better than the JDW on the concourse, given the choice I'd go here every time.
It's not bad as train station pubs go...an alright place to wait if you're meeting someone or waiting for the trains to sort themselves out after another day of delays, delays, delays...

The Sloe Bar, Victoria Station
It's an ok place, when you take it for what it is; a station bar. A place to go to when waiting for a train.
I was in there a few weeks back for the first time in probably about 6 months (train delays agin!) & the woman behind the bar remembered me & was friendly. As 'on_the_brightside' said, it's never going to be someone's local, it's not even like you'd go out fo your way to go there...take it for what it is...

Been here quite a few times, it's a decent enough place, had quick service most of the time & beer was fine. One of the better places to wait for a delayed train/bus/coach...
Quick note; it is shut beyond about 2pm on a saturday.

I've been here quite a few times, don't see what the problem is...aside from the toilets, the place is alright. Can get a little bit busy...but as pubs go, it's a decent place to go to spend a few hours waiting for your delayed train!

Nice decor...but a horrible place to be in. If I had to match a pubs 'personality' to a person then I'd compare this place to a politician akin to John Major or Tony Blair. A bland & truly soulless place with absolutely no personality at all.

The Carpenters Arms, Marble Arch
Legendry pub, used to be my local work boozer & I still love going back there...a great atmosphere & always fun to be had. Many a classic night has been had in this place over the last 5 years. Always has quality barstaff.

This pub is truly awful, I have been in here twice in my life, the first time it was rammed with tourists & you couldn't move. The bar staff were also terribly rude. I ended up going back about 2 months ago with work & I got rufused service after I'd only had 2 pints! They served a visibly hammered antipodean bloke(who could barely stand) before me, then refused me service! I was stunned. After I agrued my point & had spoken to the manager, who said that despite my obvious sobriety she had to stick with her staff, the rude bar staff then refused to serve the rest of my group. We couldn't believe it...that has never happened to me anywhere before or since & I have been in plenty of pubs in the las 15 years. I would seriously recommend that anybody thinking of going here go ANYWHERE else.
