| went there with my family on Monday, the place was absolutley filthy. They had run out of most drinks so little choice. We had dinner in there the first one I had to send back as it was disgusting, the second one was better, however I have been off work all week with an upset stomach and lost almost a stone in weight as a result, although I dont know for sure I have been poisoned fron the food or the dirt everywhere I am extremely suspicious. | Harvester have ruined a pub that must have stood there for several hundred years, sucking all atmosphere out with its bland interior. The client�le are rough and unpleasant looking, giving it quite a menacing atmosphere. As for the half that it the restaurant, you either like Harvester food or you don't. Personally I found it revolting and if you like it, there is not much hope for you. If you have never been to one before, be warned that there are no vegetables of any sort on the menu. The small mercy is that there are none for the kitchen staff to ruin. There is plenty of fried chicken, fried chicken and of course, fried chicken. The salad bar is inevitably bland with poor sauces. | I go here pretty much every Thursday lunchtime with my class from college (theres 8 of us) as food is better here than at Merton college canteen. Not bad food, pretty good service, altho the ale range is very limited its like Old speckled Hen or John Smiths or larger. I usually take the larger as the ale isn't kept very well!
