The Hung, Drawn and Quartered, Tower Hill
Good to find a decent pub near Tower Hill. Good to see that they'd gone for something a bit more original in terms of decor. Had a nice pint of Pride.

The Old Doctor Butler's Head, Moorgate
Worth going just to read the full collection of Spitfire posters.

Lovely pub. Very good range of ales. Great for people watching, as so many different types of people seem to be passing through.

The Great Northern Railway Tavern, Hornsey
Nice pub. Always had a warm welcome here. It's a bit intense when the football is on, but on other nights it's a good boozer.

I always have a good night here, whether it's for a quick drink propped up at the bar, on a summer's night in the garden, or for a slap-up three course meal.

Sought refuge from the cold here on Friday, and made to feel very welcome. Good staff, good food.

The Rose and Crown, Stoke Newington
Nice pub. Very tasty Sunday lunch. Staff and regulars are old school, but very welcoming.

I've been going here since before the gentrification four years ago. A couple of years ago it had some shaky times with the availability of food, but it's been on an even keel for a while now. I'll be there tomorrow night for Christmas Eve celebrations. Regarding filming there, it was also used for Cronenburg's Spider before it was tarted up.

I love this pub. Wish I lived a bit closer so it could be my local, but I've probably still made it about once every week since it reopened. Great beer, staff and food.

The latest bar staff have really ruined this place. I've been drinking there for 10 years on and off, but I won't go back now until there's a change. I met a group of friends there last night for a relaxing pre-Christmas drink, but the Aussie barmaids did their best to ruin it for us. One of our party was refused service because she didn't say please (even though she had asked very nicely). We were shouted at for not returning our glasses (even though we didn't have any glasses to return). We had three minutes to evacuate the top floor at 10:30 with no warning, but we duly went downstairs on the promise that they had a license till 11:30. But then at 11 on the dot they threw open all the doors and started the aggressive tactics again. We were a polite group, not really drunk, and in a good mood, but we were treated like we were a bunch of drunken thugs. In fact, we would have finished our drinks and moved on quicker if the barmaid hadn't spent so much time standing in our faces shouting. You can catch more bees with honey than vinegar.

The Foundry, Brighton
Isn't this pub now called the Foundry? I went there yesterday and it was much better than the first couple of reviews.
