Wheatsheaf, West Wickham

This is a decent pub now with a good friendly bunch of customers. They are generally a bit older so there is no aggression and everyone seems to enjoy themselves.
I only wish they would stop the dreadful 'entertainment' and stick to being a pub where you can have a drink and a chat. The awful singers/DJs etc turn it into a sort of cheap nightclub later in the evening where middle-aged overweight wobblers gyrate cringingly around each other as their inhibitions disappear.
This is the point where I would leave.

The Swan, West Wickham

Absolutely filthy place. Decent choice of beers but something not right about the taste - probably the pipes need cleaning. Hugely expensive as well.
Dodgy regulars make this an unfriendly place for people who don't like foul language, aggressive machismo banter and talk about football.

The Railway Hotel, West Wickham

I have always found the water in the gents so hot it scalds your hands. Unless the kitchen staff use a different feed of water, I assume they also have the same problem which makes me question the hygiene standards.

New Inn, Hayes

Very busy whenever I have been there in the evening but there have always been plenty of bar staff and they servie quickly.
Bar staff also seem to search for the next customer rather than just pick the one with the loudest voice, which I like.
garden area is great and will be lovely in the Summer.
Only problem is the lack of seating inside which forces you to stand up in little groups. Perhaps they could get some high tables with bar stools.
