The Fairmile, Cobham

The bar is normally understaffed (for a Sunday) and there is normally a long wait for food if you get there after 12.15pm on Sunday lunchtime.

If you like your food nicely microwaved with a bland and unimaginative menu, then this is the place for you.

Plenty of better pubs, eateries and restaurants nearby, so why compromise and go to The Fairmile???

The Rowbarge Hotel, St Johns

Poor quality food at a very high price. Expensive drinks as well. They know they are the only pub in St Johns and abuse that fact.

Pub is too smokey, grumpy staff and decor that should have been skipped decades ago.

A friend asked for a ham and cheese toasted sandwich, but apparently they can only either a toasted cheese sandwich, or a toasted ham sandwich! So it sounds like the kitchen is on par with the other staff.

Personally I will never go back to this pub!

The Minnow, Weybridge

We ate here last night and although it's only my second visit, I have to say I'm sure more will happen in the future.

We were served by a knowledgable, friendly and professional waitress. She provided the sort of service you would expect (and rarely get) in a much more expensive restaurant. I'm hard to please as I use to work in restaurants, and this was one of the very rare times I was impressed.

The food was excellent, and there was a fantastic choice including the specials.

I've been to several expensive restaurants in my time, but the service and food last night would rival any of them!

The Spring Grove, Kingston Upon Thames

This was my local before I moved (and gutted I can't find something similar!) Very friendly landlord and staff. Well priced drinks and no-frills grub that are tasty. A comment from my Chinese friends was that they didn't feel uncomfortable in the pub, as they may do in other 'local' pubs. Jukebox is pretty current, the pool isn't too competitive and the boardgames was a welcome distraction at times! :)

Great pub, highly recommended.

The Brewery Inn, Ashtead

Very friendly staff, but it was a little quiet for a sunday afternoon. Food was reasonable (better than cooking yourself and at a price that was hard to quibble about) The non-smoking area was very quiet and well ventilated, which met the approval of my pregnant wife.

The Anchor, Bookham

It may be a great pub, but I didn't get a chance to try it. Who doesn't serve food on a Sunday???
