Nice warm pub on a cold winters day and a good place for a good lunch. However, regular ale, albeit good ale, at £4.20 excludes this place from becoming a regular watering hole! Why so expensive?

Situated about 1/2 mile from the main shopping centre. Inside the low ceilings and small windows makes it rather dark. The small lounge warps around a central bar with a very traditional decor that includes plenty of wood and a large fireplace. Seating is of the church pew type with cushions and is reasonably comfortable. There is a small patio out front and a useful shaped car park. good selection of real ales including Skinners Cornish Knocker which was very nice. Well worth a visit.

Nice friendly atmosphere in this old pub with original features that haven't been mucked about with. Pleasant barmaid served us with a smile. Lunch-time menu choices limited to about five or six items but the bacon, sausages, eggs, peas and chips that my brother and I had, went down a treat with a nice pint of Skinners Cornish ale. The Brakspears Bitter tasted flat by comparison. Will definitely visit again.

Nice attractive beamed pub, beer prices are the most expensive in Bookham unfortunately the barmaids was a bit surly and the gents toilets are really run down bordering on disgusting.

Great little pub, nice and cosy especially with the fire going. Really good food at lunchtimes, and very good value. Not sure why people are complaining about prices on here, its not as expensive as The Bell down the road. All round lovely pub.
