A decent pub with up to 4 cask ales available. Food available in the restaurant.

A friendly pub, with 1 varying cask ale on most (but not all) of the time. The food was a bit chaotic on our visit, which was a shame.

A short walk from Selby but often well worth it if you're seeking a decent cask ale.

A large Marstons pub with an extensive food menu. Usually a couple of decent cask ales from the Marstons selection.

Now the Lion and Key, this is a decent pub serving a fairly limited but excellent quality menu specialising in fish & chips. Always a good choice of well kept cask ales. Check opening times first, as it doesn't open on Mondays and closes fairly early once food has stopped.

Still a traditional pub with a decent choice of cask ales; opens later than other pubs in the area. I hear it has changed hands recently and hope it carries on as good as it has been!

A cosy downstairs bar, usually with a small but well kept selection of cask ales and friendly landlord.

Overall, a decent bar and restaurant with well kept cask ales and a decent food menu. The one drawback is it seems to randomly close early as soon as the diners leave and it quietens down.

No longer a 'Spoons. Now regularly has loud music on a Saturday night, which seems to have put off more people than it attracts!

Sadly closed when I passed recently. I hope it might reopen (especially with Bury FC playing at nearby Gigg Lane again now) but won't hold my breath.

The Coach and Horses, Whitefield
A decent, traditional Holts boozer. Well kept Holts bitter.

The Eagle and Child, Whitefield
A large, busy Holts pub with plenty out outside seating at the back overlooking the bowling green - very pleasant in summer!

The Flower Pot, Mirfield
