An update from 7 years ago, the news is mixed. I went in last weekend and couldn't get a pint of cask ale, just keg and lager on sale. They do now do food and the live band they had were very good, but can't forgive them for the lack of proper beer.

The White Horse is slowly becoming the best pub in Banbury. The welcome is friendly and the choice and quality of the beer is excellent. The décor is not pretending to be anything it isn't, just a modern pub. I tried the food and that was good too.

Went in last week with 2 children, landlord and barstaff were friendly and helpful. Good pint of Hookey bitter and great garden to keep the children ocupied. The food arrived promptly and was just what we wanted. Overall a good and child friendly boozer, we will be going back soon.

Went in this lunchtime for a swift pint, won't be going back any time soon. I ordered a pint of Titanic Iceberg that was the worst pint in living memory. The barstaff seemed a little baffled by a handpump and probably gave me a mixture of stale beer and cleaning fluid, I am still trying to get rid off the terrible taste.

Went there Friday night, great beer, friendly staff, not very busy but great for a quiet pint or 2.

Went in on a Sunday night, the place was like battersea dogs home. There must of been 6 dogs in the tiny bar. Have since visited and the beer is good, but I won't be going back.

Wouldn't go near the place in the evening but a good place for a sandwich and soft drink at lunchtime. The beer is average at best but the food was good and priced sensibly.

Best pub in Binfield, great beer and a good mix of regulars.

Good pint in the Red Lion, but no sign of any food at this or any other pub in Polesworth.

Visited lunchtime on 21st April. The beer was fine good choice of Black Sheep, Thwaites bomber, and Thwaites IPA. The food however was not up to the standard of the beer. The soup was defrosted in a microwave and came in 2 sections, the watery part and the cottage cheese looking part. Sandwiches were thin on content, thick on bread. Overall an experience to be missed.

Sandford Park Ale House, Cheltenham
Great little drinking establishment, best part was the bar billiards table.
