The Wilpshire Hotel, Wilpshire
Now under new management, since Nov 2006.
The previous tentant did at least introduce real ales to the pub.
The new people have been savvy enough to ask the customers which beers to stock and our choice has improved.
A very mixed age group of very friendly customers.
Not much parking space.
Small beer garden outside french windows.

Used to be an excellent local, but now a very good eating pub. Thwaites beers well kept.
Menu is good value, espescially the superb fish & chips.
Picture window has beautiful views up the Ribble Valley.

Superb little country pub. Views across Lancashire plain to Wales & Lake District.
Real Ales, Open fires & Good food. Friendly service.
Dogs welcome. Lovely walks in area.
Beware of the speed bumps and chicanes in Tockholes Village.

The Victoria Hotel, Great Harwood
Hard to find, but well worth it. One of the best pubs I have ever been in . 8 guest real ales, spotlessly clean.
Very friendly clientele. The landlady, Jean, is a star.
Gave our driver free coffee. Not a "foody" pub, but you may get free sandwiches or chips on pool or darts match nights. Original green tile interior and etched glass in the doors.

The Blue Bell, Arkendale
This is a lovely country pub in a pleasant village.
We always call here when getting the boat from Hull.
The steak in ale pie is baked while you wait. Proper crust, home made chips. Fantastic.
Very pleasant young staff. Good choice of real ales.
I wish it was nearer home!
