The Tweseldown, Church Crookham
Recently won the local pub of the year (News And Mail newspaper group) for the Fleet area. Beers are Fullers London Pride, Triple fff Altons Pride, Courage Best and a guest. They are always good, although (if I had to criticise) can sometimes be too cold - I buy two (different ones) at a time and if one is cold drink the other one first. Beer lines are regularly well cleaned to give a very clear pint. As for service, the staff are friendly, but I sometimes wish they would actively look for empty glasses rather than expect customers to call for service - this is probably a gripe everywhere, not just here or for me. Overall I like this pub very much and drink here through choice :-)

Despite the recent comment (with no specifics given), this is a child friendly establishment, I often take my family to eat there as the food is good and the beer is excellent - Fullers London Pride, Triple fff Alton's Pride and a guest from a list of championship beers.

Definitely not a pub. I last went some years ago when it converted to a restaurant and had an expensive pint served through a sparkler (a froth-inducing device to create a large head i.e. short measure) which they refused to remove for my following pint (which I then declined to order). Good fresh beer has a natural foaming head - if it's absent then either the glass is not clean or the beer is not as good as it should be. Have heard that once the food side is done (about 10pm?) then the place will sometimes shut and "encourage" drinking customers to leave.

Now run by Maz and Nigel, they have developed the restaurant side and as such is well worth eating there. As for the beer, there are Adnams Best, London Pride (3.15) and Courage Best. The Adnams and Pride are always in good condition (I don't drink the Courage, but I expect that's well kept too). The staff are friendly and usually(!) attentive. This is my pub of choice in the area.

Under new management as of Sept 2010. Was made to feel very welcome. Beer quality improving.
