Bull Inn, Brasted

How times have changed when I lived in Brasted some 20 years ago this pub was always a popular pub and when I drove through yesterday and noticed it closed up I was saddened as the Kings Arms had also gone.
Reading the comments it appears the clientele has changed also, use to have a great landlord and lady.

The Barley Mow, Tandridge

Called in here for dinner after a day out at Chartwell, Had a lovely meal and could not understand why it was so quiet.

Well worth a visit.

The Lobster Pot, West Malling

Used to be a good pub but after the make over it has become like all the other refurb's modernised, with no character.

Use to be a favourite of CAMRA locals but doubt if you will see them in there now.

The Castle Lake, Leybourne

A premier Inn family pub not my type of pub now the children have grown up but if you have small kids, play area is ideal.

The usual chain beers or should I say lagers and beer.

Food is what you would expect from a chain, value for money mass produced.

The Woolpack Inn, Chilham

Called in for lunch today and had a lovely roast and a couple of good pints of Late Red, didn't notice any guest ales but a good range of Shepard ales.

Staff were friendly as were the locals, watched the Rugby in the public bar by the open fire.

The Old Rectory, Leybourne

As a local I can confirm the beer is good although it does at times seem to cater for the younger members of the area.

Food can be a bit hit or miss, can be good value for money.

Large outdoor area, Duke box, TV and pool table.

The Nevill Bull, Birling

Not welcoming to dog walkers, unless they stay outside. So I didn't get to try the beer out.

Duke of Wellington, Ryarsh

A favorite local pub for me. Friendly staff and good beer. Don't object to you walking in with your muddy boots or dog. In the winter months there is a real fire.

Food is always good and value for money.

Horse and Farrier Inn, Threlkeld

Just come back from a week in the area and disagree with the comments made. Food is over priced and staff are not all friendly.

They claim on the website to have 30+ Whiskeys but didn't have anything like it more like 10 including bourbans.

On a positive note they do a good drop of ale and don't mind dogs and muddy boots.
