Give it a miss. Unfriendly staff. Beer was off / undrinkable. Food took forever to come, and was then inedible.

Lovely place - a proper pub, with reliable real ale, and good quality and well priced food.

Dreadful, dreadful place. Really unfriendly, surly staff, who make it clear they're doing you a favor serve you.
Just as well, as - if you finally manage to get served - the beer is usually off.

Hanwell Arms, Banbury

An estate pub, but a good one. Good beer (Marstons and at least one guest), good food, and very reasonable prices.
The atmosphere is not much more that you'd expect from an estate pub, but I've seen far worse examples of such pubs.

The Peyton Arms, Stoke Lyne

This pub is a real gem. The landlord really CARES about his customers and his beer. Always a pleasure to visit.

The White Hart, Preston Bissett

This brilliant pub accommodated a group of 14 hungry cyclists for lunch at very short notice.
The food was excellent, the beer was lovely, and the landlord was charming.
I ( and 13 other cyclists) heartily recommend this little jewel of a pub.
