The Star Inn, Glossop

What I would describe as a "classic" real ale pub and certainly by far the best in Glossop. Knowledgeable bar staff who are always happy to give you a taster of the real ales that are on, usually 4 or so plus real cider.

Good Robinsons beer, interesting bottled beers and home made burgers. Good location right on the high street.

Comfortable town centre pub. Well worth a visit for the unusual Holts real ale.

The Globe Hotel, Glossop

This pub is a Real Ale Nightmare. Probably some of the worst beer I have ever tasted, brewed in the pub I believe.

Bulls Head, Glossop

Excellent Robbies beer, curries still good but perhaps not as good as before, they were originally from a restaurant in Rusholme. Still well worth a visit.
