Excellent pub, great selection of ales. Jaipur on tap plus 5 or so others when I was there. Jaipur was strong but excellent, just the way it should be. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Whilst rather small this does add to the atmosphere of the place, and this pub was number 7 of the day so can't actually remember what the selection of beers was like, but I seemed to enjoy it. It was open mike when we were there and we stayed through several decent acts. Great atmosphere, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Would definitely recommend this place.

Good little pub. The wooden exterior continues throughout, making the atmosphere nice and dark, the way it should be in an old London pub. Usual selection of Sam Smiths available so if that's your thing, give this place a try.

Decent enough pub with a reasonable selection of Badger beers. Worth a quick one if you're passing.

Reasonably good selection of ales and lagers. Whilst not spectacular, well worth a visit if you're in the area. No doubt I'll be back in the summer.

Who gives a Dog and Duck, well I do. Much less busy than when I was here last but really good selection of Ales (6 pumps available). Had food in here as well and although it took a little while longer than was expected, didn't really matter as it just gave us more time to sample the ales. Food was excellent (3 clean plates). Ales were excellent. Will be back soon I'm sure.

Not sure why the rating is so low for this one. Decent enough pub, service was fine (although it wasn't busy) good outside seating area. Not massive but decent enough selection of beers. Would certainly come back if the occasion arose.

Well, anywhere that has a pirate party (one assumes related to some engagement do or something) that involves a cake with a cock iced on it (and yes I did take a photo) has got to be good by me. Oh, and by the way, the beer was good as well. Plenty of outdoor seating with river views. Highly recommended. Aaar me hearties!!

We were really pleased with this pub. Absolutely hammering it down but could sit outside under cover, with good views of the Thames. Good selection of drinks. Ale and Cider on tap (Addlestones cider). Really good bar snacks as well. Best pork scratchings I've had for years. Although do have to pay for them. At this point on the crawl we all agreed best pub yet. Good looking serving staFf helped to promote it's rating. Something some of the earlier pubs lacked.

Good selection of Fullers on tap. Excellent river views can't get much closer unless you jump in. Unfortunate odour of urine flooded the place everytime someone entered the gents so had to move to a different part of the bar. Overall rating reflective of this. If you have no sense of smell add 3 to the rating.

The Hope and Anchor, Hammersmith
Let's be honest. Gay friendly pub I would have hoped for better. Probably the only bloke in there with two cocks, but enough about my two mates. No ales on tap. WHAT!! Do they not realise we prefer something with a head on it. Poor indeed.

The Hammersmith Ram, Hammersmith
First pub on the crawl due to bad planning and tube engineering works meaning we had to do the crawl in reverse order.. Actually turned out to be pretty good. Food was excellent and good portion size and reasonably priced. Friendly enough staff. Next pub on our list (should you want to follow us) is the Hope and Anchor

The Bermuda Triangle, Parkstone
Excellent beers, excellent music, excellent pub. Nuff said.

Previous pub Antelope. Well Nelson continues to meet expectations. Badger beer, whilst not my favourite well kept and as expected. Excellent rock music being played. An all round good pub. Should have a higher average rating than shown on this site. Next pub Bermuda Triangle although will not be rating as is excellent always.

Further to previous. Food well up to scratch. Burgers and fishcakes for us. Nice!!

Previous pub Brewhouse. Ah, this is more like it. A proper pub, 3 ales on pump and all available. We all had Ringwood in here and whilst we thought a little colder than necessary, very good. TV showing footy, good atmosphere. Everything you would want of a pub in Poole. We've ordered food so will supply a further review later. Next pub Nelson (or maybe Portmouth Hoy).

Previous pub Cockleshell (Shockeshell more like). Great expectations of this place, yet all of us were very disappointed with the beer (Funky Monkey and Mermaid). We actually couldn't wait to get out of here yet had to take our time due to the taste of the beer (is that ironic, I suppose it might be). Good points 2 Pool tables, however if you want something tasting better than an ashtray, probably worth missing this place. Next pub Antelope.

Previous pub Royal Oak and Gas Tavern/Pure Drop. After the last pub, this pub is packed. OK there's England v Wales on the TV and can only count 3 women in here, or is that 3 and a half ?? And one of them is behind the bar. No ales on pump. For something that advertises as a Free House and only has one pump this is very poor. Good points decent atmosphere, TV, Pool table. Bad points, everything else. Yes I've had a few but in this place it seems sobriety is out of fashion so feeling very inadequate. Brewhouse next, let's see if its Free House credentials stack up.,

The Royal Oak and Gas Tavern, Poole
Previous pub Pure Drop. Well after the last pub the fact that this place actually no longer exists has come as a bit of a relief. Nothing much to say here. Next pub Cockleshell

Number 3 on the crawl (previous Foundry Arms). First impressions.... "YIKES!!! Has it really come to this". This is like being transported back at least a several decades. Two ales not available only Ringwood on. They do have a jukebox, but we couldn't gather the courage to touch it, just in case. Good points, Pool room out back, only 50p a game. Musty smell in the Pool room, which hopefully would disappear as more alcohol is imbibed. Despite the first impressions, we did stay the course and ultimately enjoyed the experience although all agreed never to speak of it again. Next up Royal Oak and Gas Tavern.

So second up on the crawl (previous was Lord Wimborne). Decent enough little boozer. Limited ales (Ringwood Best only on pump). If you like a pub that isn't too busy on a Saturday lunchtime, and you like to socialise with an older clientele, then this is the place. Makes Cocoon look like Kindergarden Cop. Good point is the widescreen TV and Pool table. Bad point no music. Next pub Pure Drop.

Crawl starts here. Good selection of ales (several on pump) decent pint of Titanic. Very inexpensive for the ales (2.10). Place flooded with locals if you want a laugh. No music. If you want to follow our crawl, next pub Foundry Arms.

The Railway, Christchurch
Despite being asked to wait for the landlord to finish his fag in the beer garden before being served "you can waIt boys" one friendly local advised, we found this to be a great place to start our day. Good, well kept ales, London Pride and Ringwood Best on tap. Locals friendly enough, decent beer garden would recommend for a quick one.
