First impression walking in this place is that it stinks! You then have every single person sat in the crammed little bar staring at you. You will then have the pleasure of the land ladys blank moody face to greet you, or her also not so happy daughter to greet you, then grunt at you what u want to drink. The drinks are at fair prices though, but saying that, they would have to pay me and my friends to ever even walk through their door again! As for the toilets, well I was almost sick in my mouth when I dared to enter them! I have never even seen public toilets as disgusting as they are! It's quite clear that throughout the whole pub area and toilets that there is definitely no cleaning, and I will be reporting this matter further as it is absolutely revoulting! Considering this is a family ran pub, with mother and daughter both as employees, I was totally disgraced that this place is even allowed to be open to the public in the state that it is! This should be on the Pubs from Hell. Absolute bunch of skanks!! Don't do it to yourself, you'd rather sit in a public lav and eat food than to even entertain going there! NEVER EVER AGAIN! holidayhen11 - 12 Dec 2011 14:06 |
Number 3 on the crawl (previous Foundry Arms). First impressions.... "YIKES!!! Has it really come to this". This is like being transported back at least a several decades. Two ales not available only Ringwood on. They do have a jukebox, but we couldn't gather the courage to touch it, just in case. Good points, Pool room out back, only 50p a game. Musty smell in the Pool room, which hopefully would disappear as more alcohol is imbibed. Despite the first impressions, we did stay the course and ultimately enjoyed the experience although all agreed never to speak of it again. Next up Royal Oak and Gas Tavern. Well It has been taken over now, seems a gd place to go with a heated smoking area, newly decorated, with plasma to watch live football/Rugby, gets quite busy weekend nights, also through the week with darts, new owners are friendly and enjoy banters with customers unlike the last landlady!, still got the older locals, which are nice, they like talking about "back in the day"! lol, but keep an eye on this pub seems like they're be move things happening in the near Future. coley87 - 26 Nov 2008 13:30 |
