The Swan With Two Nicks, Little Bollington
Got to give them 10 out of 10 for the cask ale. Menu seemed slighty pricey.

Good little pub. Landlord and barstaff are friendly enough. I haven't had any food there before, but the real ale selection is excellent.

Visited this pub 22/8/08. What a fabulous location. Had a great meal in there (mixed grill) and the Tim Taylors was on form. Difficult to fault the place but, maybe they could improve the choice for "veggies"

Incidently...The photo on show today 10/6/08 is NOT the Bulls Head,High Lane...but the Bulls Head on Stockport market place.

Visited this pub in March 2008.The Boddingtons was on top form, and the bar staff and locals chatty. It's only a small pub but has huge potential, situated adjacent to the Macclesfield canal. The place could do with a bit of redecorating to freshen it up a bit.

The Spice Island Inn, Portsmouth
Fabulously located at the neck of Portsmouth Harbour. The restaurant is upstairs and the food was lovely. It's a devil of a place to park though.

The Still and West, Portsmouth
I've visited this pub on many occasions over the last 25 years. Definitely a summer pub! It would be difficult to find a boozer in a more interesting location, what with the ferrys gliding past as you're supping your pint. Have to agree with earlier reviewers that it can be a long process actually getting your pint in your hand though, due to a lack of bar staff numbers at busier times. Foods good,if not a tad over priced. But all in all I love going to this pub situated right on the neck of Pompey harbour.

Visited this pub 8/6/08.I must admit that I've been surprised at how negative the earlier reviews have been, though admittedly we didn't eat here. My partner is a veggie and she didn't think much to what the menu offered her. Parking is a bit of a problem also.
On the plus side, the pub and toilet facilities were very clean. There were three real ales on. The Celtic Blonde and Grays bitter were on good form. Didn't get round to sampling the beer brewed exclusively for the pub though. The pub itself is beautifully located.

Ye Olde No 3 Inn, Little Bollington
I visited this pub in May 2008. Boddingtons Cask was excellent and not over-priced,like some of the pubs in this area. Theakstons Old Peculiar was on draught too,but at 5.6% vol(or something daft like that) I gave that a miss. Good variety on the menu and I couldn't fault my meal. Big beer garden and play area for the kids at the rear of the pub, which backs onto a canal. Really good pub!

Visited this pub mid afternoon on 8/6/08. What a fabulous setting! It was the first decent Sunday, weather-wise, for quite a few weeks and the place was very busy. The Marstons Pedigree was spot on. We were told that due to it being so busy our meals would be ready in around 40 minutes, but they were there with-in 30 minutes. The food was excellent, though I have had larger portions in other pubs. Swings for the kids and peacocks roaming about the place. I highly recommend a visit.
