If you work behind the bar somethings are common place, touch your hair, wash your hands, handle glasses filled with slops loading a dishwahser, wash your hands.. Customers in the resurant do not want someone elses backwash over your hands whilst you carry their food to their table with your fingers holding their plate!

Got two days of work, served loads of punter with glasses fresh from the dishwasher, still nice and WARM.. a cardinal SIN if your a bartender, you never give someone a drink from a warm glass, as I was on training I waited with baited breath for someone, anyone to tell me what I was doing wrong, never heard a word... Manager gave me the impression I was covering for someone off sick, got me in told me how great I was then laid me off.. If I don't get paid two words.. Industrial Tribunal!

BonesGate, is a play on words, the original founder of the pub was known as william bourne which got abbreviated to bones (bournes)-gate and it has a stream running along side it by the same name. Go here if you like crap service, poor hygiene and don't expect to be treated seriously! & from an ex-member of staff who used to work in a nightclub / pub that's really saying something!

Worked here for two days, told a white lie, said I hadn't been in the pub trade for six years knowing my ex-manager wouldn't give me a glowing reference, knowing I had walked out one night when the bar was heaving! they took 23k that night and I helped!
Got the job got told by pub manager I'll call you to sort out more hours after two days work, never got the phone call.
